Erafrika Iconic City is a visionary urban development project located near Johannesburg, South Africa, masterplanned over 3,200 feddans to create a future-forward smart city that integrates business, culture, entertainment, education, housing, and technology into one vibrant destination. With a development value of 10 billion USD, the city aspires to become a global model of inclusive, innovative, and iconic urbanism in Africa.
The masterplan is structured around a network of specialized zones and themed districts:

Park Hotels (85 Ha): Hosting 4 hotels with over 1,500 rooms and lakefront views.
Healthcare Park (56 Ha): A medical and wellness destination with resort features.
Eco Village (81.5 Ha): Housing the Erasmus Hotel Palace and unique eco-lodges.
Housing (A & B Class – 105 Ha): Luxurious gated residences and open villa/apartment complexes.

Downtown (45.5 Ha): A pedestrian-focused commercial hub with dining, retail, and play areas.
Shopping Malls (87.5 Ha): Two mega malls supported by business and parking areas.
Iconic Zones – Business, Residential, and Hotel Towers (75.6 Ha total): High-end living, luxury hotels, business plazas, and healthcare centers.
Warehouse Exhibition & Mall (30 Ha): Event and retail facilities.
Industrial & Business Parks (239.5 Ha): Dedicated to ICT, research, free trade, and logistics zones.
The city’s design emphasizes dynamic connectivity with flying lines (elevated transport), a strong landscape framework, and a mix of density and typology, creating a sustainable and experiential cityscape.
Our role encompassed conceptual design, urban planning, architectural visioning, and landscape design, ensuring that each element contributes to a cohesive, forward-looking urban identity rooted in African potential and global aspirations.
